Nude Stripes With Wet N' Wild Spoiled

Well guys, it's happened. That post in a right-handed nail blogger's blog when they've got better pictures of their right hand than their left. I don't even know why. So I'm gonna post a bunch of pics because well, one of the polishes I used in this is so beautiful, it deserves to be seen in different angles!

I went to a CVS that has the Wet N Wild Spoiled polishes and I picked up two: Show Me Some Skin & Shrimp On The Barbie.

Show Me Some Skin is, as you might've guessed from the name, a nude creme. It took about 3 coats to cover up VNL, and might not be a true nude for my skin, but I like it.

Shrimp On The Barbie is gorgeous. GORGEOUS. Just look at it for yourself in the pictures. I used it as an accent nail on my ring finger and for the stripes on the others.

Look at that golden shimmer in Shrimp On The Barbie.

Love.love.love.
I'm so satisfied with these polishes. I want to use Shrimp On The Barbie in a full manicure. They had a bunch of other colors in the Spoiled collection that are cool too, and for $1.99, it's easy to go crazy getting a bunch.

Bonus outfit pic? Yes. I picked up these polishes because they reminded me to this outfit I knew I was gonna wear the next day. STILL loving these Forever 21 boots.

Do you own any polishes from the Spoiled collection? I'd love to know about other cool ones!

Polka Dot Dot Dot

Polka dots just might be the cutest and easiest design to do on nails. I did these with (you guessed it) a toothpick. To top it off, I did these while having a cold. I told y'all these were easy!

I used:
Wet N' Wild Wild Shine - Tickled Pink
Sally Hansen Insta-Dri - Espresso
Sally Hansen Insta-Dri - Clearly Quick

I always use Clearly Quick as topcoat but I don't always mention it in posts. I kinda had to now, because just look at that shine. I love it when nails look almost like plastic with a good topcoat. This pink reminds me to Baskin Robbins spoons. :]

Trying Out Tribal Nails

Well hello there! I'm back after a couple weeks of not much nail action. If you follow me on Instagram (@MissDeViousDiVa orrrrrr CLICK HERE to see my pics on your computer) then you might've seen a preview of this design, along with some practice art I did.

If not, here it is. I tried out my first tribal nail art the other day.

The fabric under my hand is from the dress I was wearing. I tried to match it but it's so intricate, it was complicated to do on the nail. Much love to the artists out there who do those complicated designs on their nails!

I used:
Wet N' Wild Wild Shine - Black Creme
Wet N' Wild Wild Shine - French White Creme
Love & Beauty - Bubblegum
a teal franken

Just for fun, here's a couple Instagram shots. I'm loving Instagram since it was released on Android.

Plain white nails + trying out a Kleancolor polish with random nail art + word to Spock. :]

Before I log off, thanks to the new followers I've picked up and thanks for stickin with me! I've got posts ready to go so there's more new stuff coming.

Wet N' Wild MegaLast Lipstick - DollHouse Pink Review

Once upon a time I was on the hunt for a bright pink lipstick. In my quest I amassed quite a collection of deeper pinks that were just too dark for my liking. Think M.A.C.'s Girl About Town. I could dedicate an entire post based on dupes for it. I wanted a Barbie pink, something a little lighter but not too light.

I had forgotten about my mission when I walked by a Wet N' Wild display at Target and something caught my eye: their MegaLast lipstick in Dollhouse Pink. I've never bought a MegaLast lipstick before and had never seen this shade but it looked gorgeous and for $1.99, it was worth a try.

MISSION COMPLETED! THIS is the color I've been looking for. I've only had this lipstick for a few weeks, but I just LOVE it.

On their website, Wet N' Wild describes MegaLast lipstick as a 4-hour, longwear lip color with a semi-matte, creme finish.
Can I go off for a minute on how much I love the finish? I love my shimmer, glitter, and sparkle, but it's easy to add by mixing or layering products. It's not so easy to remove all that from a product though, so I like matte and creme finishes.
These weren't always a drugstore staple so I'm glad brands are branching out. When I picked this up and applied it the first time, it reminded me to a much more expensive product, like something I'd expect out of M.A.C. I'm so used to drugstore lip products having a bunch of shimmer in it!

I'm also glad that they're picking up on color trends and are putting out brighter more bold colors. DollHouse Pink is a new shade in this line, along with several others. Oh, and they all have cute names too.

For me, lighter shades like this don't last that long on my lips. This actually holds up decently after eating and even drinking with a straw. I like this lipstick because I don't like to tote my makeup products around with me. The only time I ever do so is when I know I'll be performing and might need a touch up. With this, I can actually rock a brighter, lighter color and get away without reapplying later.

All in all, I love this product. I love it enough that I've been wearing it on it's own, even without lipgloss.  It's not a hardcore longwear lipstick or stain, but I like that because it isn't as drying as some of them either. The texture is nice and creamy. As with all mattes and cremes, especially lighter shades, I'd recommend exfoliating before using this. Other than that? Rock on. I'd for surely purchase this again, along with several other shades. Props to Wet N' Wild for stepping out of the box with both the color and the finish. With this I can add shimmer or gloss if I want, or rock it matte. It's nice to know that I can have my cake and eat it too (and still have fabulous Barbie lips afterwards.)
